Opening Prayer
Minutes from the January 2025 BOS meeting were approved.
All working team positions have been filled since last meeting.

2025 Town Hall meeting dates set for 2025:
1st meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 26th, 2025 at 6:00 – 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall
2nd meeting on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at 10 – 11:00 am in Fellowship Hall
3rd meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 10th, 2025 at 6:00 – 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall
4th meeting on Sunday, Nov 23rd, 2025 at 10 – 11:00 am in Fellowship
Discussion of what to go over at 1st town hall, financial, #s of small groups, etc.
Council on Ministries
- Reviewing recent and upcoming events at church.
- Manna Market will begin again on March 17th and Swannanoa clean ups tentatively scheduled for March 22nd. Keep In Touch (KIT) and the Safety Team are looking for new leads and more team members.
- Two tables were recently damaged in the Fellowship Hall. The Kitchen team has published and posted new expectations for usage information. Debra Thornberry and Meg Scott are partnering to lead the Loving Care ministry. Small Groups have started again and are going well.
Ad Hoc Committee will be formed to review the Safe Sanctuary and Safe Space policies to determine if any new rules and regulations should be implemented on SUMC campus and any associated programs regarding interaction with Immigration officials. Joe has been in contact with District/Immigration Attorneys that have said there are specifics to consider.
Finance – Stephanie – Reviewed year-to-date financials.
Bridges – Contract renewed for Reading Specialist.
SPR Working Team, Mike Smith
SPR team would like to establish an Ad Hoc Staff Loving Care Committee to celebrate staff throughout the year. Notify SPR team if you know of anyone who may be interested.
Trustees – Les Swick has a list of facility maintenance team members. Working on energy audit with Jim Tolbert.
Partners Animal Hospital is renting 6 parking spots M-F for their staff.
Water bottles in the bus garage are breaking/leaking. Missions team working on solution to distribute water.
Preschool update – Preschool enrollment is at 39 for 2024-2025 school year and 44 for 2025-2026 school year.
Next meeting will be March 11, 2025 at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall
