Candace Presents – AAW (All Are Welcome Social Action Group) UMC Blue Ridge District is trying to get enough money for a Jade lever sponsorship of the Asheville Pride event in September of this year. AAW will cover our portion of the fee themselves (approx. $250). There will be a list for churches to sign that states to “welcome and affirm LGBTQ persons”. AAW would like to sign our church’s name to it. The Board has no issues, and Erin thanked the group for letting the Board know.
ERIN – June town hall reflection: Something to consider, “What are our goals in the future?” Perhaps at the August meeting, we can begin to plan some goals for the rest of the year and beyond from each work group.
