Our Philosophy
It is our purpose to nurture the children you entrust to our care, encourage them to succeed in their learning experiences, and offer them every opportunity to enjoy preschool.
Around the Son Preschool strives to impart a positive biblical influence in the hearts and minds of our children. Through our rich and challenging environment, we encourage children to explore God’s world, to be curious, to problem-solve, and to learn through a variety of activities and experiences.
We believe that children learn best through play which calls for initiative, imagination, purposefulness, fine and gross motor skills, and social adaptation. We are dedicated to building a strong foundation for primary education success.

Chapel Time
ATSP children attend Chapel Time one day a week. Children sing songs, open the Bible, hear the stories from God’s Word, and learn Bible verses. They learn to pray and learn about worship. It is a very special part of the week for your child. This time is led by our Skyland pastors.
Computers
Children ages 3 years and older attend a computer class twice each month. The learning software introduces the children to a variety of skills and concepts including numbers, letters, shapes, colors, matching, size discrimination, listening skills, story sequencing, deductive reasoning, classification, eye-hand coordination, and small muscle development.
Enrichment Program
Our Enrichment Program Coordinator designs and organizes a comprehensive program that extends beyond the classroom to include:
- physical education
- hands-on math
- science
- literacy activities
- music & movement
- health education
