ABCCM (Asheville Buncombe Christian Community Ministries)
Help prepare or serve an evening meal to veterans at the Veteran’s Restoration Quarters, or women and children at Transformation Village. The guests that receive these meals are experiencing the crisis of homelessness.
We also support ABCCM Crisis South location – volunteers are needed there to help with sorting and helping individuals in need. ABCCM has multiple ways to volunteer. Link to their service opportunities: www.abccm.org/serve
Haywood Street Congregation
Haywood Street Congregation has multiple ways for you to volunteer and assist them in caring for some of our most vulnerable neighbors. Something as simple as preparing a dish for respite care, or a time investment of becoming a companion. Haywood Street Congregation core programs provide a platform for the ministry of relationship, which can be defined simply as the act of “being with” and speaks to our deepest identity. http://haywoodstreet.org/get-involved/
